{Sneak Peek} Meet Baby R!

This little squisky bit of absolute perfection was just that… perfection. He was a bit sleepy (perfect) and still bendy… LOVED to snooze on his belly too! He looks just like his wonderful and very helpful big brother. I can’t wait to play with this little guy some more!

{February Special}

As promised, I’m running a special for the month of February! We’ve all got cabin fever, well at lest I know I do! So what will cheer (me) you up better than a bunch of babies and kids?!?! I know for me, the only thing better than playing with other peoples’ kids (oh, I mean photographing other peoples’ kids) is a trip to a warm, tropical destination. Sand in my toes, and nice chilly purple rain in my hand (as per my fabulous honeymoon in beautiful St.Lucia, SOOOO many years ago) and the hot sun toasting my skin. Since I don’t see that one happening any time soon… we’ll go with photographing kids to chase away the cabin fever.

So- the special:

And the details/fine print…
Can not be combined with any other offers. One child only, parents may be added for some poses however, the focus is on your child. Session must be indoors. Taxes apply to session fee. Artists’ Favorites… Meet Baby D!

So it has begun, the baby bonanza that will surround me in the comming months- a large majority of my sisters/sisters-in-law have all decided to have babies around the same time. My older sister is the first of the 4 that was due in the winter this year. We had the pleasure of getting to spend some time with my sisters’ family around Christmas, along with all of the other cousins in the mix so far. It was a WILD time, and oh, so much fun. It’s almost like my family has these baby booms, one of which started with my daughter, followed by 3 nephews not too far behind. This time, however, there are alot more, alot closer together. Ooooh, this is going to be fun!

ANYWAY, I have to say that it was amazing to see my sister and brother in law with their new baby. They’re so relaxed about it, taking everything in stride. It might help that Baby D is so stinkin adorable. He is one big little dude though… he doesn’t look like the 2 or 3 week old that he actually IS in these pictures, but he DOES look this perfect in real life. Honestly. Ok, well, here are some of my favorites from the session… Enjoy!

apparantly, he sleeps like this too… football fan already?

On a side note- I know I’ve been MIA for the past, oh, month. Well I’m sure you can understand, as it was the holidays and completely insane. Well, I’m back and will pick right back up with posting more regularly. I will have some announcements and specials comming up in the next week or two, so be sure to check back often. You’re not going to want to miss these!
I hope all of your holidays were wonderful and filled with joy, and that the new year brings with it many prosperous and happy times for you and yours.

See you again soon-
Brigit

Out takes…

One of the things I love about photographing children, is you never know what they’re going to do. I usually just delete images that are not “show perfect” so to speak, but occasionally I will edit and present them. Especially if it’s just one of those perfect moments. You know the ones, that show that side of the kid that the parent is most familiar with. Sometimes, these images are the best portrayal of that childs’ personality. And sometimes they’re just FUNNY.

These two are from a recent session (that I’m still finnishing editing) but I found so much humor in these, I just had to share them.

Mr. M…. from his stance and gestures, you’d think he was SO over getting his pictures taken, luckily that wasn’t the case…

Mr. T was just sick of taking the back seat I think… I call it “Brotherly Love”

Meet the “E” family!

I am still behind, I am still swamped and I have yet to start Christmas Shopping! GAH. SO I’d better get caught up, so Santa can visit our house, or I’ll have some very disappointed kiddos. I’m pretty sure they’d never forgive me for it either. This has been on the top of my “to-do” list for about a week, so it’s about time I get to it, huh? Sorry J. Please forgive me!!!

Here is your sweet, adorable, wonderful family. I do have to say, I get warm fuzzies (remember the “I CAN, CAN?”) when I edit these images. Your boy is just too darn cute.

(oooh, sorry about that wierd watermark bar! Opps!)

Because you know I can’t just post one version.

The whole Fam… Love you guys!

Sneak Peek the “G” family!!!

Yes, as usual, I’m behind… To say the holiday insanity has started around my house would be an understatement. Though, to be fair, it’s not all holiday related. I did have the pleasure of photographing the “G” family- they’re pretty close to me… infact, some might recognize them as related to me.

I had a great time spending the morning with the boys, oh, and R & K you were fun too…

Anyway- I’ve got lots to do, so I’m just going to get to the point, I guess and share the pictures already!

Enjoy guys! I’ll get the rest to you soon! Promise!

Oh BOY!!! Introducing the “N” family. Sneak Peek

I’ve known the “N’s” for about 5 years now, we were karate buddies once upon a time (as in, before life got in the way for Mrs. and I)… I’ve seen these kids grow up quite a bit- most notably in my mind is the youngest- Mr. “T”. I remember him when he was my daughters’ age, and that makes me feel old.

Anyway- This was one wild session. Sure, it started off with the boys all shy and quiet, but that quickly turned into roudy, rumble, tumble boy time. It’s so funny to me to see what happens when you get 3 boys together. They’re so…. so…. I don’t know- NOT princess-y. LOL. My boy never had this kind of beat-ya-up-because-I-love-ya kind of thing, so I love to see it in other families. Makes me glad I’ve got a girl too. LOL.

I’ll have to do another post later, once I get to processing the boy side of things- this is the sneak peek, and I’m going to show how things were- before they got completely comfortable with me and my camera.

Enjoy “N” Family. I had a great time hanging out with you all. Makes me miss karate nights. Sort of.

Hodge Podge.. because I’m behind, that’s why.

I’m behind. You’d think I was used to this state. Oh well. SO you get a little hodge podge of images today… My Over Share Wednesday is turning into- oops, I forgot to get this up last night, so now it’s overshare Thursday, along with a couple of pics of Isabelle in her Halloween costume. Yes, I realise that it would have been way more appropriate 4 days ago, but I said I was behind, didn’t I? I just today got to downloading that card. And I have ZERO pictures of Alex this halloween. I’m a terrible mom. In my defense, it was SO last minute, he had a race that morning- his last- the STAC championships (more on that later) and we ran to Wal-Mart that afternoon to pick up some makeup, grabbed the cape thing from last year and a devil trident thing from the basement. By the time we got him dressed, he had 3 minutes before his friend picked him up to go trick or treat a DIFFERENT NEIGHBORHOOD. I need to pause here and say, this means he’s getting OLD. He’s out terrorizing other neighborhoods, with no adults… and he’s got a cell phone. (shhh, we can track exactly where he is at all times with that baby!). SO- that’s why I have no pictures of him this year. He’s got one on his cell phone, but really, it doesn’t count. I’m a bad mom I guess.

We’ll get to the pictures soon, I promise. Just wanted to touch on the STAC race first- he set a goal, and he rocked it! He ran his fastest race yet- 1.75 miles in 13:58. SO proud! I’m so glad he had his grandparents, Aunt J, Uncle Al, Aunt Brenda and Rick there to cheer him on, you could tell he was thrilled that so many people were interrested in what he was doing. Thank you all for comming out on that rainy, windy day. It meant the world to him, and to me.

OK- so the pictures. The Over share first- these are a few more of my favorites from the session with the “S” family. I still think your kiddos are stinkin adorable!

ok, and I’ve gotta say, with a little bit of pride, that I MADE that red riding hood. Yup, and I lined the hood with red satin, and I’m terribly proud of that thing. Ok, so it’s a little big, however, she can wear it for a LONG time… it will probably still fit her when she’s 30. It’ll just be a tad short! hehe… I got my craft on.

Happy Birthday “Little A”!!

We had a busy day this past Sunday, celebrating “Little A’s” 2nd birthday. The kids that made it to the party had a great time (some ended up sick, like my dear Alex, bummer). There was plenty to do, with the food, bounce house, “Hockey Ball”, t-ball… though I think “Hockey Ball” wins always for “Little A”. I think it’s a family thing, on his Daddy’s side. Really. Anyway- I took a few pictures durring the party, just a few (lol, I don’t think I’ve ever taken “just a few”, ever). But I am just sharing a few that I’ve gotten to. A quasai sneak peek if you will.
First up, the cake- ’cause what’s a party without cake? Little guy didn’t want to listen to all of us off-key singers, so he decided to end that mess real quick. Guess he knew what he was wishing for!

This guy is going to be a sports star, if you ask me. I can’t get over just how physically adept he is. He’s only 2 people! Check him out- playing hockey…

And t-ball was no different- he’s a natural!

Well, Happy Birthday “Little A”, I hope you had as much fun at your party as Isabelle did!

oh- I haven’t even gotten to the pictures of him opening presents, or the bounce house, or the suprise baby shower we threw for his sweet Mama- which I’m happy to report, she had no clue! YEA- total success. Big year for “little A”- he’s 2, he gets to be a big brother to “baby in the belly” who will eventually be “baby out of the belly” but don’t talk to him about that ;) … big things in store for this little family. Here’s to ALL GOOD THINGS. Love you all. ~B.

Sneak Peek! Meet the “S” family!

I guess you could say I go waaaayyy back with “Mama S.” That would probably be an understatement. I just love this family, like they were part of my own, even if I hardly ever see them and we keep in touch over facebook more than the phone. They’re one cool group, with a sweet dynamic. Add to that the fact that the boys are VERY boy, and poor “Mama S.” is greatly out numbered and things get interresting. ;) Plus these boys are movers… the little guy, “A” DID NOT want to stop moving… which is fine by me. Really, I swear!

Well, I’m gonna start this little peek with one of my favorites, not because it’s perfect, but more so because it’s SO not. Little dude didn’t like holding hands or standing still. He’s so cute though… lol.

Mr. “T” could have had his pictures taken all day- he even wanted me to follow him around on Halloween snapping away (at least I think that’s where that conversations was headed…)

Well “S family” I hope you enjoied your sneak peek, I had fun running around the park with you guys, and your kids really are pretty darn cool. You’ll get your run for your money, that’s for sure!

oh, I’m trying to be better about not over-using my “!” so much. I’ve come to realise that I tend to use it so much it feels like a whole lot of yelling inside my own head. I’d like to spare you all that racket… bear with me though, it’s gonna be a tough habit to break.
